Who runs this site

Aave Tracker (aavetracker.com) is an independent project. It is not affiliated with Aave Labs, the Aave DAO or any company behind the Aave protocol. For privacy questions, write to hello@aavetracker.com.

What we collect

• No accounts and no sign-up. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other details. You only give us your email address if you write to us.
• No advertising cookies. We do not run ads, and nothing here follows you around the web to show you ads.
• Visitor statistics. We use Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It is explained in the next section.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical details every website request contains, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
• Your display preferences. The chart time range you pick, and your answer to the analytics question, is remembered in your own browser (local storage). It never leaves your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.

Google Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages people read, roughly where in the world visitors are, and what kind of device they use. To tell one visit from another it sets cookies in your browser (their names start with _ga). Google processes this data on our behalf, and its servers may be outside your country, including in the United States. We have not switched on any advertising features, and we do not send Google your name, email address or wallet address.

• If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or a place that follows their privacy rules (such as Réunion, Åland, Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man), Google Analytics starts only if you click OK on the banner. Until then nothing is sent to Google and no analytics cookies are set. If you say no, or ignore the banner, it stays off.
• Elsewhere, the cookies are set when you visit.
• You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie choices link at the bottom of every page. Choosing "No thanks" there stops Google Analytics straight away and deletes its cookies. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings, or block Google Analytics on every website with Google's opt-out add-on.

Your answer is remembered in your own browser, not on our servers. To work out whether to show the banner, our server looks at the country your request comes from. That country is not stored.

Messages you send us

You can write to us with the form on our contact page or by email. Either way, we receive your email address and your message, and we use them only to answer you. The form sends them to our inbox as an email: the site itself does not keep them. Our inbox is at Google (Gmail), so that is where your messages are kept. We keep them for as long as we need them to answer you and follow up, and we delete yours whenever you ask.

To keep robots from sending messages, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is sending it (now and then it asks you to tick a box). For this check, Cloudflare receives technical details of your visit, such as your IP address and details of your browser. Cloudflare uses them to tell people from robots and to improve that check, not for advertising: see its Turnstile privacy addendum. Turnstile loads only on the contact page. We also count the messages sent from each network address for a minute at a time, to stop anyone from flooding our inbox.

The wallet checker

If you paste a wallet address into the wallet checker, that address is sent to our server and passed on to Aave's public API to look up its positions. We do not store the address, and we never ask for private keys, seed phrases or signatures. Please remember that blockchain addresses and their balances are public information that anyone can look up.

Third parties involved

• Cloudflare hosts the site, stores our market data and passes on email sent to our address. It also checks that contact form messages come from people (Turnstile).
• Google provides Google Analytics, as described above, and hosts our email inbox (Gmail). See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
• Aave's public APIs and public Ethereum nodes supply the market data. Our server contacts them, not your browser. The only visitor-provided value passed on is a wallet address you choose to look up.
• Token icons are small copies kept on this site, so loading them tells nobody else about your visit. An icon for a token added since our last update may still load from the image hosts Aave uses (token-logos.family.co and statics.aave.com) until the next update; as with any image on the web, that host then sees your IP address.
• Links to other sites, such as block explorers or the Aave app, are governed by those sites' own policies.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed above, who process it only to run the site. The one exception is Turnstile: Cloudflare also uses what it learns there to improve its check, as explained above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA may give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Because we do not keep accounts or profiles, we normally hold nothing that identifies you. If you have written to us, we hold your email address and your message, and we will send you a copy or delete them if you ask. If you believe we hold anything else, contact us and we will help.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
